Francis was born near St. Remi, on February 14, 1854, the youngest of nine children born to William Robinson and his wife, Maria Struthers. He was the last member of the family. Following his marriage on January 22, 1889, to Elizabeth James Stacey, he and Mrs. Robinson lived for several years at Essex Junction VT. In 1904 they came to Ormstown Québec. He leaves a son, Thomas F. Robinson of Chicopee MA, and a daughter, Mrs. C. A. Dan Hamm, (Clarissa), of West Springfield MA, two grandsons, Trevor and Peter Robinson, and a granddaughter, Ruth Dan Hamm. Funeral service was conducted by the Rev. W. T. Payne, at St. James Anglican Church in Ormstown Québec. Burial took place at Beechridge Cemetery.
