06-27-1945 Mrs. John Orr, of English River, Québec, died at the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown Québec, in her 83rd year. She was born in 1862, the youngest and the last surviving member of a family of three boys and five girls, children of the late James McKell and his wife, Jane Templeton. She was married to John Orr on January 23rd, 1889, children were, Jean, Mrs. R. J. Steele of Rockburn, James E., a veteran of the last great war, Everett, Ewart and Osborne, all living on farms on the English River, and who together are with 14 grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her 19 years ago. Funeral service were held at her late home, on Friday, June 29th, service conducted by the Rev. K. Woodwork, of the Howick United Church. Interment in the family plot in Riverfield Cemetery.
