1890 - His father died suddenly when he was five years old.
1910 - moved to Winnipeg.
1911- age 23, the 1911 Winnipeg Census shows him as a lodger living with William Bryant (1856-1911) William's second wife, Catherine Carson and a grandson William James Bryant.
1912 - at 28 years of age, he married Edythe Isabella Stacey in Montreal on October 15, 1912.
1914 - working as a clerk at McLeod-Hawthorne Co., the predecesor to Leslie & Stewart. Living at 686 Jessie Ave., Winnipg.
1916 - We know that a young person named Billy Bryant, age 11, was living with Henry and Edythe after the death of Billy's father and grandfather.
1916 Census shows Henry and Edyth living at 688 Jessie, with a lodger William Bryant age 11, Henry's occupation is a merchant of Leather Goods
1921 Census shows Henry and Edyth living at 686 Jessie with Son Henry Melbourne age 11 months, Henry's occupation is a merchant

1925 - he began working for the Hudson Bay Company.

1950 - at age 65, he retired from Hudson Bay Company.

We know that he bought three lots on Jessie Avenue, 686 where he built his home and the adjacent two lots to the east.
Henry owned as a partner, with Arthur J. Leslie, a luggage/leather goods store "Leslie & Stewart Ltd (Winnipeg Trunk & Bag Co.)", 387 1/2 Portage Ave. We know that it went out of business during the 1930's depression or perhaps sooner.
In order to keep the family home, he sold off the two adjacent lots.
He owned land in Moose Jaw, Sasketchewan, it was sold by the city for unpaid taxes.

Alex joined a drug firm in Montreal in 1905. Upon his mother's death in 1908, he moved west, staying iwth his aunt and uncle (Mary and James Chatwin) in Regina.
Married Janet Ann MacLaren, 3 Nov 1914 the wedding taking place om Eva and Edgar Rossies's home in Regina, Saskatchewan.
later moved to Winnipeg, retired as head of the credit and accounting department of the National Drug and Chemical Company in 1948 after 37 years of service.
