CARL THOMAS SWITSON January 2, 1915- October 23, 2009 With all our love and a lifetime of wonderful memories, we must say goodbye to our Dad. Dad passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Residence in his 95th year. He was predeceased by Peggy, his beloved wife of 63 years. He was a cherished Dad to Pat (Dave) and Judy (Steve) who together gave him four wonderful grandchildren, Mike (Sarah), Kimberley, Emily and Julianne and two delightful great- grandchildren Tyler and Kaylin (with one more on the way). He will be sadly missed by his surviving sister Mary and his extended family in BC, Ontario and abroad. His 94 years were full of life, whether growing up as a young man in Amherstberg and Brantford; serving Canada courageously in the RCAF in WWII; enjoying a long career with Grand and Toy; joining his many friends at bridge, dancing and golf (40+ year member at Cedar Brae Golf & Country Club); Dad was completely commited to his journey. We wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sunnybrook, especially to Shannon and Marcia, who provided exceptional care and comfort in Dad's final weeks. Dad will be forever missed, loved and never forgotten. Dad will be resting at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd. (1 block east of St. Clair Ave. E.) Visitation Tuesday, October 27, 4:30-7 p.m. Service in the chapel at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Toronto Humane Society.
