07-17-1950 John Ritchie, died at his residence in Howick Québec, he was born in Fertile Creek, on November 16, 1863, being the youngest son of the late John Ritchie and Jane Henderson, two brothers and one sister having predeceased him. He retired from farming 22 years ago. Left to mourn, three daughters, Mrs. William Wilson Jr. of Tullochgorum Québec, Jean, at home, and Mrs. Melbourne Stacey of Norton Creek, also six grandchildren. His wife, the former Mary Ann Muir, Predeceased him 28 years ago. Funeral service were largely attended, held at the Riverfield Presbyterian Church, service conducted by the Rev. J. S. McBride. Interment was in the Riverfield Cemetery.
