RANKIN, Gordon (Red)
On Monday, September 13, 1999 at the Westlake Convalescent Hospital in Los Angeles, as the result of a fall, in his 83rd year. Born in Montreal West, predeceased by his wife Helen Stewart and his son Toby. Son of the late John I. Rankin and his wife Naomi. His death preceded three brothers Colin, John and Alan and survived by his brother David in Toronto. Gordon was educated at Roslyn School in Westmount and Bishop's College School in Lennoxville, Quebec. He served several years in the R.A.F. Ferry Command and after the European theatre concluded, he joined the U.S. Ferry Command. He received a commission for his services there as a pilot officer. A private funeral service will be held at a later date in Montreal.
